Children with clear concepts about body safety and ample practice in a safe environment rejecting inappropriate actions of others, will know how to protect themselves in real situations. Unfortunately, even children who understand rules of bike, water, seat belt, fire, drug, and alcohol safety often are without body-safety skills—in spite of statistics that suggest how important it is that they are well-informed.
So, how do we ensure that we can protect children and that they can protect themselves?
First, we educate ourselves. Before we can teach kids about personal body safety, adults must understand Child Sex Assault (CSA) and learn how to effectively communicate with children about the topic.
In the 3-hour Parenting Safe Children, I Workshop you’ll learn to talk about personal body safety in an age-appropriate, non-threatening way that will teach children to keep their bodies safe.
In Parenting Safe Children II Workshop, you'll focus on the application of strategies learned in Parenting Safe Children I.
Read what past participants have to say and learn more about the invaluable parenting skills you’ll gain by participating in this workshop.
